RESTITUTION OF CULTURAL PROPERTY SPOLIATED: THE NEW ORGANISATION SETS UP.

On April 17, a mission was created within the Ministry of Culture, for the research and the restitution of cultural property spoliated.
Three weeks later, on May 7, the Prime Minister appointed four qualified personalities (in the fields of art history, the art market, the history of the Second World War, and the heritage law) who will join the deliberative panel of the CIVS to examine the files of cultural property spoliated.
The publication of these texts will allow the implementation of the decree of 1 October , 2018, in particular the measures taken to give a new impetus to the search and the restitution of the works spoliated during the Second World War.
The qualified personalities are: Mrs Inès ROTERMUND-REYNARD, art historian; Mr. Dominique RIBEYRE, auctioneer; Mrs. Claire ANDRIEU, professor of universities at the Institute of Political Studies of Paris; Mr Xavier PERROT, professor of universities at the University of Law of Economics of Limoges.
